Lothar (Lou) Budike, Jr has 20 years of professional experience, focused on technology driven businesses. His experience includes successful technology based product launches for companies such as Westinghouse Lighting Corporation, Long Island Power Authority, PEPCO Energy Holdings, BGE (Baltimore Gas & Electric) as well as custom technology design services for various energy related firms throughout the United States.
Lothar holds several key patents in power electronics and power systems as well as a host of military sponsored pending patents in materials and optics designs for solid state lighting. Lothar is a graduate of engineering from Drexel University and began his career at the US Navy Yard in Philadelphia. Lothar was an advanced electrical design engineer working under NAVSEA and was focused on systems development and engineering on the CV-63 (USS Kitty Hawk), and CV-64 (USS Constellation) Air Craft Carriers.

Lothar has developed energy trading systems for multiple utilities around the country and introduced the first energy retail price system in the wholesale energy marketplace through the PJM in 1999. Lothar is currently is an energy advisor to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) as well as the lead developer of a new Pennsylvania State Initiative called PALM (Pennsylvania Automated Load Management) which enables commercial consumers of electricity to conserve electricity.
