Powerweb, Inc. is a privately owned technology company that is focused on reducing the electric power costs of commercial businesses. Powerweb has developed, patented and currently markets a technology that provides wireless energy management. The Powerweb solution is used to control, predict and reduce total electric power consumption costs for commercial businesses.

The Powerweb solution is comprised of patent protected wireless lighting and HVAC controllers, software and real-time energy pricing integration. The system provides customers with the ability to control how much and (more importantly) when they use power from their commercial facility.

The ability to affect savings through the integration of time intelligence (derived from real time conditions in the wholesale energy market) with a customers internal facility operations is unique in the market. This enables standard devices within a commercial facility such as lighting and HVAC systems to become intelligent and hence shut down/ramp down based on real-time energy market conditions.

Powerweb is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1991 as a design and engineering firm focused on delivering energy savings solutions to Fortune 500 companies. From 2005 through 2010, the Company continues to refine its wireless power controller products, a wireless modem and the software necessary to control energy usage and integrated these new products with its real-time energy pricing software to create a complete solution.

Powerweb has developed and patented two platforms for technology; an Enterprise Platform that utilizes the Internet as a means to facilitate system operation and a Localized Platform that enables the technology to be embedded directly into specific devices such as lighting fixtures and thermostats. The Company's intellectual property portfolio currently consists of seven patents and multiple patent pending applications.
